Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Developer & Extension Identity This Privacy Policy applies to the Kick Video Downloader Chrome Extension (available on the Chrome Web Store) developed by Orbitex AIO. We are committed to maintaining maximum transparency and security regarding any user parameters processed by this utility. For any inquiries, please contact our support department at [email protected].

1. Single Purpose Disclosure

The single purpose of Kick Video Downloader is to act as a browser utility that allows users to download publicly accessible stream video clips and VOD archives directly from Kick.com to their local file directory. The extension is designed strictly as a productivity tool and does not bundle or include secondary features such as background advertisement networks, cross-site profiling, or general web search hijacking.

2. User Data Collection (What Data We Collect)

We collect and process only the minimum necessary user data to provide, maintain, and verify access to the services of our extension:

  • Google Account Email Address: With your permission, we access your primary signed-in Google account email address via Chrome's Identity API.
  • Payment and Billing Information: When you purchase a premium plan, transaction and subscription details (such as your email address, purchase amount, transaction ID, and country of purchase) are processed and collected.
  • Extension Preferences & Settings: We store local user configuration preferences, such as custom naming patterns or download settings, in your browser.
  • No Collection of Sensitive Data: We do NOT collect, store, or transmit sensitive personal data, such as your passwords, browsing history (outside of direct Kick.com video URL inputs), physical location, search queries, or the video content you choose to download.

3. User Data Handling & Usage (How We Use Your Data)

Your data is processed and used strictly for the following purposes:

  • License Verification & Counters: We use your Google email address as your unique license key to verify if you have purchased a premium subscription or to enforce the 15 lifetime free downloads counter limit.
  • Billing Management: Payment information is handled solely to manage your billing, active subscription cycles, refunds, or customer support related to transactions.
  • Local Preferences Application: Saved preference parameters are applied locally within your browser to format and store compiled video downloads to your device.

4. User Data Storage & Protection (Storage, Security & Retention)

We implement rigorous security and storage practices to protect your data:

  • Storage Location: Your synced licensing email and subscription status are stored in our secure database, hosted on secure server environments. General extension preferences and settings are stored locally in your browser's sandboxed storage (`chrome.storage.local`).
  • Data Security: All data transmitted between the extension, our backend APIs, and our payment subprocessors is secured using Industry Standard HTTPS (SSL/TLS) encryption in transit.
  • Data Retention: We retain your billing email and licensing records only for as long as you maintain an active account or license with our service. If you request deletion, your records will be deleted from our systems.

5. User Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure (Who We Share It With)

We have a strict policy against selling your personal information. We do **NOT** sell, rent, trade, or distribute your email address, billing records, or any other user data to advertising networks, brokers, or data analytics firms. We share data only with the following trusted third-party service providers (processors) strictly for the operation of the extension:

1. Google LLC (Google Identity & Chrome Web Store) We interact with Google Identity services to securely retrieve your authenticated Google email address for license management and verify extension installation states.

2. Lemon Squeezy, Inc. (Payment Processor) Our payment gateway, Lemon Squeezy, securely processes transaction data, payment cards, billing addresses, and subscription cycles. They operate under strict PCI-DSS compliance standards. Orbitex AIO does not receive, view, or store your raw payment card credentials.

3. Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloud Infrastructure & Hosting) Our secure backend endpoints (`kick.orbitexaio.com`) are routed and hosted on Cloudflare's secure server network. Cloudflare handles HTTPS connection termination and request processing.

6. Permissions Rationale & Usage

To provide stable download options, the extension requests specific browser permissions in its installation manifest. Below is a detailed, transparent breakdown of why each permission is required:

activeTab & Host Permissions (https://*.kick.com/*) Required to detect and extract video elements, metadata, and stream segment playlists (m3u8) on Kick.com. The extension's content scripts run strictly when you browse Kick.com to inject the "Download" button. No content script runs on any other domain.

storage Required to persist extension preferences locally on your browser (e.g., target folder choices or formatted naming preferences) and keep track of your licensing trial data counters locally on your device.

downloads Required to download the fully assembled MP4 video file or extracted MP3 audio files directly into your operating system's local Downloads folder.

identity & identity.email Required to access your primary signed-in Google account email address. This email address serves as your unique license key on our backend systems. It is transmitted securely to check if you have purchased a premium subscription and to manage free tier download limits (15 lifetime downloads).

tabs Required to open the checkout payment links (Lemon Squeezy portals) in a new browser tab and redirect you back to the upgrade confirmation page upon successful payment processing.

7. Zero Logs Policy for Media Files

We respect the content you download. Because all download scanning, segment downloading, and media stitching happen locally within your browser background thread sandbox, our servers never see, cache, host, or store the video streams or file packages you compile. Your downloads remain private and stored exclusively on your device.

8. User Data Rights & Data Deletion Requests

You hold full control over your data:

  • To stop local caching of usage state, you can uninstall the extension at any time via Chrome’s extension manager (`chrome://extensions`).
  • To request immediate deletion of your synced billing email from our license check servers, please submit a written request to [email protected]. We will process your deletion request within 48 hours.
